Doug Larson
Doug Larson President
I started working in the summer of 1967 for my dad (Don Larson) and have been here ever since. After my second year at Green River Community College, I started working full time in the field for the company in 1977. Over the past 38 years I have worked in the field, estimated and managed hundreds of different projects throughout the state of Washington. The largest job that I was involved with was Redmond High school (value of glazing contract 2.4 million dollars) which was completed back in 2002. In 1971 when I was working in the summer I helped glazed the South Satellite Building at Sea Tac Airport. Recently I was involved with the Puyallup City Hall and Cleveland High School projects which were both close to two million dollars in glass work each. I have been a board member of the JATC which oversees the apprenticeship program for local 188 for the past 10 years. My brother Jerry Larson started working here in 1980 and my mom and dad (Maryann and Don Larson) have since retired.
It should be noted that my right hand man Bill Powell Manager for Larson’s Glass from 1977-2011 (30 years) has since passed away in 2012 and has been deeply missed by all here at the company. Jeff Mitchell took over Bill’s job and my niece Jena Bizeau replaced Mary Ann as the secretary. Both my son’s (Jon and Konrad Larson) are working for the company, as well as both my nephews Gary McGinley and Jared Larson. It can truly be said this is a family owned operation.

Jon Larson Estimator/Project Manager
I am a fourth generation Larson. My Great Grandfather Rube started Larson’s Glass Company in 1946. I attended Washington State University and graduated 2007 with a Bachelor’s degree in Humanities. While attending WSU I played Division One Football as a Wide Receiver/Special Teams for four years. Currently I am the Estimator/Project Manager for Larson’s Glass Company, holding this position for six years. Previously I worked in the field for Ten years. Rated South Central Alaska’s number one fishing guide and taking the cover of Fish Alaska’s magazine in 2007, I also hold a Coast Guard Merchant Mariner Credential and am a licensed guide in Washington State. I have established a great track record of successfully completing commercial projects on the coast of Washington ranging as far from Willapa Bay to Neah Bay. Included in these coastal projects is Forks High School, which had some of the most stringent extreme waterproofing and glazing details known to the industry. I am a hands on Project Manager, and at times I have an office in the field so I am able to assist my employees when needed and to assure a smooth running project.

Jeff Mitchell
Jeff Mitchell Project Manager
I began my career with the glass business in 1973, after serving several years of active duty in the U.S. Navy. My grandfather Mel Mitchell was a salesman / office manager for the original Fuller Glass Company that later became Glass Sales & Service Inc. He assisted in having me hired by the owner Henry Johnson, as an apprentice glazier. At that time, there was no apprentice school and my on the job training came from the “older glaziers” that had a wealth of knowledge and experience. They took me under their wing as the “young kid”, and taught me everything they could about this trade before retiring themselves. Looking back 42 years ago, I have to say I was involved in just about every aspect of this business in commercial & residential glazing and have been fortunate enough to stay employed full time through good times and bad. Larson’s Glass Company has been a wonderful place to work, and Jerry and Doug have been very good to me. As a family business since 1946, they must be doing it right because they are still here going strong.

I recently took over as Secretary for the company as my Grandmother Mary Ann retired after 42 years. I am very excited to be part of the 4th generation that is here working at Larson’s Glass Co. I graduated from the University of Washington in 2013 with a degree in Arts, Media and Culture and was married in 2011. I have worked for the company officially since I was 18 and worked all through college. Before then I always worked on weekends, summers and when there was no school doing deliveries, washing trucks and learning to run the books. It has truly been a blessing working with family and having a hand in keeping the 69 years of business running while also having the chance to learn many different fascists of the glass business. We have a great crew and team that have been loyal and hardworking and I am excited to see where the future takes us.
